![]() ![]() There are plenty of studios that would work hard and put plenty of passion, energy and hard work to make a mainline Pokémon game, unlike Gamefreak (or at least it's management). It's my personal theory though that they set strict restrictions on the Gen 4 remakes because they don't want another real development studio to make a real Pokémon game and have it be better than anything Gamefreak has done for a long time. Gamefreak is tired of making Pokémon games so they pawned Gen 4 remakes to another studio. Posted: 6:30 am We already knew Pokmon Unite, a spin-off with gameplay similar to League of Legends, was coming sometime in July on Nintendo Switch. ![]() Then the game they chose to cheap out on and abandon that art style is the one I've been waiting like a decade and a half for and they basically blew their shot on a Gen 4 remake. I'd say since Gen 6 they've been improving the art style getting closer and closer to the anime style every time. I'm personally just disappointed because Gen 4 was my first Pokémon generation, and I always dreamed of a console quality game where the visuals are very similar to the show. It's like they tried to mimic the Link's Awakening remake art style but did not put nearly as much effort into it. I mean it's pretty commonly known a lot of people don't like the art style. ![]() Comments containing spoilers should be concealed using the following markup: >!Super secret spoiler text!!Switch releases March 2017!< Spoilers should never be revealed in a post title or comment.
